The Trichome Collective

Trichome Collective was developed as a brand exploration demonstrating Full Scale Co’s integrated approach to building market-ready brands — where strategy, design, and manufacturing are considered as one unified system.

Rather than designing aesthetics first, the project focused on creating a scalable brand engineered for real-world production, retail performance, and long-term growth.
 

The Objective
Create a premium brand system capable of competing in a highly visual and saturated marketplace while remaining production-efficient and scalable across multiple product formats.

Key goals included: – Establish clear market positioning -Develop a cohesive visual identity system – Design packaging optimized for manufacturing – Ensure consistency across SKUs and retail environments – Build a foundation for future expansion

Strategic Approach
Full Scale began with brand architecture before visual execution. Creative decisions were guided by: Target consumer behavior – Retail shelf competition – Production feasibility – Material and finish compatibility – Cost scalability at volume – This ensured the brand could move seamlessly from concept to production without redesign or compromise.

Visual Identity
The identity system balances clarity and impact through structured design principles: Controlled typography hierarchy
– Intentional color application – Modular layout systems – Strong brand recognition across formats – The visual language was built to remain consistent across packaging, marketing, and digital environments.

Packaging Design
Packaging development was approached as both a creative and engineering exercise.
Design considerations included: Structural efficiency – Print method compatibility – Specialty finish planning – Durability for retail environments – Scalable production workflows – Every element was designed with manufacturing execution in mind from the beginning – Production Integration – A defining aspect of the project was early manufacturing alignment.

Full Scale incorporated: Prepress planning – Vendor coordination – Finish feasibility analysis – Production workflow strategy – This process minimizes risk, reduces production friction, and ensures design integrity through final output.

Retail & Brand Experience – The system was designed to perform within physical retail environments where packaging directly influences perceived value.

The brand supports: Strong shelf presence – Cohesive product families – Marketing and photography consistency – Future SKU expansion – Packaging functions as both product container and brand storytelling tool.
